President's Message

Welcome to Congregation Schara Tzedeck - a vibrant, dynamic shul, where everyone -- new member or old, visitor or friend -- is invited to enjoy our hospitality and facilities. 

I, along with all the members of the Board, hope that you will come to know Schara Tzedeck as your home - a place where you feel comfortable, welcomed and inspired. 

As the largest Orthodox shul in Western Canada, Schara Tzedeck takes pride in contributing to the resurgence of committed Jewish life in Vancouver.The shul has a long and proud history of more than one hundred years and continues to play a leadership role in the community, providing Vancouver with a beautiful mikvah, kosher meat and dairy kitchens, Chevra Kaddisha services, facilities for family simchas and community events, motivating speakers and festive dinners.

Under the able leadership of Rabbi Andrew Rosenblatt, Rabbi Michael Nadata, Youth Rabbi Moe Mernick,  Youth Activities Coordinator Melanie Mernick, Reverand Joseph Marciano, and Programming Director Shelley Karrel bring their combined talents and commitment to every facet of the shul's services, programs and activities.
