Cantor Nadata and Family

We are pleased to welcome Rabbi Nadata and family to our shul.

Rabbi Nadata was born and raised in Lawrence, New York. He attended Yeshiva Toras Chaim and Rambam Mesivta for elementary and high school before spending two years in Jerusalem at Yeshivat Hakotel.  He earned a BS Degree in Psychology at Queens College, Magna Cum Laude, learning concurrently at Yeshiva Sh'or Yoshuv and then at Yeshiva Etzion.

Rabbi Nadata comes from a long line of classical musicians and has a deep appreciation for the arts. He has studied voice in the Belle Cantorial method, under Cantor Paul Pisant, and most recently has studied under Cantor Joseph Malovany, Cantor of the Fifth Avenue Synagogue in Manhattan. Rabbi Nadata has uplifted congregations throughout North America with his lofty tenor voice. Rabbi Nadata is a prolific composer, he has been at work on an album of his music for several years.

Rabbi Nadata met his wife Lauren while both were involved in NCSY; they were married in 2005. They have two beautiful children; Dinah Shalvah, 3, and Akiva Yisrael, 1 who look forward each week to singing with shabbos guests.
